To tonify Qi and strength the spleen. † Indications: Weakness and coldness of the spleen and stomach, such as (a) stomach and intenstine disorders; (b) loss of blood due to spleen Yang deficiency; (c) infantile convulsions; (d) obstructin in the chest. † 1. Stomach and intenstine disorders: nausea; vomiting; diarrhea; no thirst; abdominal distention; abdominal pain; poor appetite; cold limbs; † 2. Loose of blood due to spleen Yang deficiency: Blood stool; uterine bleeding; profuse menstrual flow; † 3. Infantile convulsions: convulsions of the four limbs; † 4. Obstruction in the chest: Chest pain; stifling sensation in the chest; pale tongue; white and sticky or white and watery coating; deep thready and forceless or slow and tardy pulse.† Applications: Indigestion, chronic diarrhea, functional uterine bleeding, bloody stool due to gastroduodenal ulcer and angina pectoris. †
